DPDP Law for Mobile

As a trusted Marathi matrimony service provider, we follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act) 2023 for mobile privacy.

Mobile Number & Data Protection Policy under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
At MarathiVadhuVarSuchak.com, we treat your mobile number as sensitive personal information. Because it can be linked directly to you, we handle it as a "Data Fiduciary" under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). This policy explains how we collect, use, display, and delete it.

1. Your Consent Comes First:
We never assume permission. Before we collect your mobile number or share it with another member, we will tell you in plain language why we need it and how it will be used, and we will ask for your clear, voluntary agreement. Your number is never made visible to other members by default. You decide who gets to see it, and you can change that decision at any time.

2. Used Only for Matchmaking:
Your mobile number is used only to help you find a life partner. We do not sell it, rent it out, or pass it to advertisers or marketing agencies, and we do not use it for promotions unrelated to your matrimonial search.

3. Deletion and Retention:
We will remove your mobile number from our active records when:

  • You delete your account;
  • You tell us you have found a match and no longer need the service; or
  • You withdraw your consent.

We do not keep your number longer than needed for the purpose it was collected for. Where the law requires us to keep certain records, we keep them only for the period required.

4. No Public Display of Personal Identifiers:
To protect you from misuse and harassment, we will never publish your mobile number, Aadhaar card number, or full residential address on any public profile or on any profile that has not been verified. Mobile contact details are shared only with members you have approved.

5. Honest Verification Labels:
We encourage members to verify their profiles to reduce the risk of fraud, and we are always clear about what "verified" means:

  • A profile whose mobile number was confirmed only through an OTP will not be described as "fully verified" or "100% verified."
  • Each verification badge shows exactly what was checked, such as phone number or identity document, so you can judge a profile with accurate information.

6. Contact Us:
To withdraw consent, request deletion, or ask a question about your data, write to us through the Contact page on our website.
